Does where you meet your spouse matter?
One of the most frequently asked questions in the life of a single being; man, woman, bachelor or spinster alike is, 'where would I meet my spouse?' And in the life of the married couples it is; 'where did you meet?' However platitudinous these questions may be, one cannot help but wonder what the future holds for us. After all it is the future that we are all living for.

[if !supportLineBreakNewLine] In the Nigerian context, the most common places we meet our spouses could be public places such as schools, markets and shopping malls, weddings, offices, restaurants and clubs, bus stops and even on the streets. We could also meet at serene places such as Churches, Islamic forums, libraries and health clubs etc.
[if !supportLineBreakNewLine] Regardless of where we meet, we dare to ask ourselves if it really matters and if it could have any positive or negative influence on the relationship, especially most times when the relationship takes a turn for the better or worse. Do we blame or praise ourselves and the day we met our spouse when there's turmoil or victory? Does the location at which we met our spouse bear a psychological undertone to the relationship and how does one cope with it?
[if !supportLineBreakNewLine] Once again, does it really matter? Considering the herculean task of harbouring a relationship and the day to day clutter in the name of survival, do we put our psychological differences on the subject aside to enable us live through the day?
Gender is another factor that is to be considered on this subject matter. Does the gender influence the way we judge the subject as man being known to be rational minded and women, emotional minded. To cut this fact short, let us site an example; imagine a scenario where a young man meets a young attractive woman at a bar or a club. He would definitely have reservations about her. They could be good but most likely and almost certainly be more dominantly worse. Now let us take this same woman and put her in the corporate light of say a banker. Imagine this same young man demanding to see the head of operations for transaction and lo and behold she walks in. What would they think of each other? Reverse the case and compare their logic and reasoning.
[if !supportLineBreakNewLine] After all is said, it is left to every individual to decide if where they meet their spouse really matters. In the process of your decision making, it is important to note and consider the fact that different people go to different places for different reasons. A banker at noon could as well be a serial killer at night. Concentrate on details such as character, inner beauty, purpose, and spirituality.
