Plateau Next Nollywood Star Search Season 1

It was an experience of a life time for the participants of Plateau Next Nollywood Star Search, an initiative of Lumazio Entertainment and Productions.

Over two hundred aspiring actors and filmmakers from the 17 local government areas in the state gave the competition a shot.

The three weeks training exercise took place in Pankshin, a town known for its tourist attractions and unique weather. The Pankshin local government Chairman honorable Samuel Goar was a caring host.

Trained filmmakers, theatre directors, make ups artists , cinematographers, stunt instructors, acting coaches, scriptwriters, film editors and dance instructors made creative impact on the participants.

After a week of training, the best 70 out of the bunch of talents who turned up for the competition made it to the next stage of the search. And they were saddled with the responsibility of making two short films within two weeks.

They came up with two stories, engaged in script conference, made screenplays, chose directors, handled casting, scouted for locations, embarked on rehearsals, and the talents approached the productions with the knowledge gained from their instructors.

Two interesting short films (Common Gate and A Tale of a Princess) got made. A fit achieved through collaborative effort.

The program climaxed with a grand finale at Steffans Multipurpose Hall, Rayfield in Jos where the final three for the first second and third positions emerged.

Manji Luka emerged as the winner of the Plateau State Next Nollywood Star Search with a star prize of a brand new car and the winner is billed to make his acting debut in a mainstream Nollywood film courtesy Lumazio Entertainment and Productions.
