Nde Gideon Barde shines at 70

With a million naira donation by Kefas the CEO Kefiano Autos to the launch of two autobiographies which capture the life and times of Nde Gideon Barde as part of his 70th birthday celebration. The business tycoon praised Barde as an elder worth emulating.

Nde Gideon Barde is a blessing, not only to his locality, in a far away Kanke, not only to Plateau but to Nigeria as a whole… these were the words of Tunde Oladapo the secretary League of veteran Journalists Plateau State Chapter. Tunde described Barde who chairs the league as intellectual, disciplined and morally upright.

The celebrant received accolades from his peers as well as commendations and support from invited government officials in the North and beyond who graced the birthday event.

Barde an elder statesman at 70 and a pioneer journalist with The Standard Newspaper expressed that tribalism which had been a clog in the wheel of Nigeria’s progress since its independence has remained in an aside with keeps magazine.
